The Bad Leonfelden traditional music band dared a special premiere for its New Year’s Concert 2024: The popular event took place for the first time in the city’s sports and events hall. The audience appreciated the change from the Haus am Ring to the much larger space and promptly filled the hall, which was designed for 600 listeners. The rush was so great that the original contingent of seats had to be increased again at short notice.
The musicians thanked the audience for this interest with a varied array of melodies that left nothing to be desired: pieces from the Strauss era – such as the rousing entry march from “Gypsy Baron” – were just as popular as classical and modern brass music literature as well as operetta melodies. At the latter, the vocal soloists Carina Hohner and Alexander Gallee took the audience’s hearts by storm. The event was moderated by Teresa Haudum.
Music club chairman Wolfgang Hochreiter took the opportunity to thank everyone for their support in purchasing the new costume. Thanks to the willingness of the public to donate and numerous sponsors, a large part of the acquisition costs have already been covered. The game clothing will be finally implemented in the coming months and will be officially presented at a “Brass Music Night” in the summer of 2024.
