Johnson announced his intention to suppress the “aggression” of Russia against Ukraine

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced his intention to use “all economic and diplomatic tools” to prevent Russian “aggression” against Ukraine. He spoke about this following the results of telephone conversations with the leaders of four more countries.

Johnson’s office stressed that the leaders of Western countries once again called on the Russian Federation to reduce the level of “tension” in the region, and also reaffirmed their support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

“The UK will continue to use all the economic and diplomatic tools at its disposal to prevent any Russian aggression against Ukraine,” Johnson said in a statement.

On December 6, the leaders of Great Britain, Italy, the United States, France and Germany discussed relations between Russia and Ukraine, and also called for the resumption of negotiations in the Normandy format. The politicians called for respect for Ukrainian sovereignty, and also “expressed their commitment to work for the benefit of peace and security in Europe.”

It is also noted that the leaders agreed to discuss the situation again after talks between American leader Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin, which will be held in a teleconference format at 18:00 Moscow time.

On December 4, the German newspaper Bild published information about two scenarios of the Russian “invasion” of Ukraine. According to the sources of the publication, the first scenario is a simultaneous attack on Ukraine from several fronts, the second is a phased attack. Expect this “attack”, according to their assurances, is already at the beginning of 2022.

Later, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that in Moscow they see “numerous ducks” about the allegedly planned “aggression”, but they do not hear a single word about Kiev.
