Tomorrow there will be two additional vaccination lines available in Wels. The WEMS company will also operate the test lines in Hall 4 from Monday. The state’s test center on the weekly market area will be closed from this point on.
“We have succeeded in opening two more vaccination routes in Wels, where an additional 500 vaccinations per day will take place. The state’s capacities were too low for our city, which is why the increase was urgently necessary,” explains Mayor Andreas Rabl (FP ) the expansion.
In order to fight the pandemic, it is crucial to create the necessary offer: “In Wels, everyone who wants to be vaccinated should also have the opportunity to do so. For everyone else there are still free test options,” said Rabl.
Health advisor Vice Mayor Klaus Schinninger (SP) reminds of the impending vaccination requirement: “I therefore call on all those who have not yet been vaccinated in Wels to immunize themselves in this way in good time. The capacities are now being increased, there is enough vaccine available.”
From Monday, WEMS will be offering free PCR and antigen tests in Hall 4, the new location. Until then, the city will operate an antigen test center there for self-application under supervision. There are further test options in Wels pharmacies, in the health center (Grieskirchner Straße 49) and in the municipal Covid-19 test buses (PCR and antigen). The timetables are below www.wels.at evident. You can register for the vaccination as usual at oesterreich.testet.at on the Internet or by phone at +43 800 220 330.
