Israel launched an air attack on the port area of Latakia in Syria. This was announced on Tuesday, December 7, by the Syrian State Broadcasting Agency (SANA).
“Israel is conducting an air attack on the outskirts of the port of Latakia,” the TV channel said.
The aerial attack is said to have been carried out using several missiles from the Mediterranean Sea at a container site in a commercial port. It is also reported that as a result of the airstrike, several containers caught fire.
No casualties or damage resulting from the attack are currently reported. The Israeli army has not made any official statements yet.
On November 24, it was reported that as a result of air strikes on the Syrian city of Holmes, two civilians were killed and seven others were injured. The SANA agency clarified that material damage was also caused as a result of the airstrike.
