The past year was busy for the comrades of the Braunau fire department: they had to go out a total of 346 times, including 59 fire and 287 technical missions. The fire department can be particularly proud of having saved 25 people and two animals. But they were also able to protect property worth an estimated 45 million euros from destruction. To do this, they had to cover a total of 3,838 kilometers with the vehicles and were in use for 3,239 hours.
The Braunau fire department operates several bases that are responsible for operations throughout the district. In addition to special skills from the team, this also requires special equipment. Among other things, the Braunau fire department is also the height rescue base. All equipment was stored in the LF-A. However, the vehicle had to be scrapped due to its age and other options for transporting the equipment were sought. Several possible variants were discussed, and the final decision was made on a box trailer with sales flaps on both sides and a rear door that opens on one side. The trailer was converted on our own to meet the needs. Fire brigade commander Klaus Litzlbauer thanks: “It makes me proud that my comrades, in addition to the regular training and operational service, carry out such important projects with such professionalism and commitment.”
