Next Sunday, January 7th, the max.center Welscup starts the new season with two giant slaloms in Hinterstoder. Further competitions, the city championship on January 27th and 28th and races on March 17th and March 31st round off the cup with six competitions. Defending champions from last year are Anna Keppelmüller (TVN) for the women and Alexander Oppeneder (USC Eberstalzell) for the men.
There are innovations in the team competition, where the number of participants has been reduced to seven starters and this will create greater competition, especially with the two major clubs in Wels. These have previously had advantages due to the higher number of racers.
The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, April 14th, in the max.center.
