New SV Ried trainer Ibertsberger presents: “He is an absolute team player”

“I’ve already seen a lot of familiar faces. After the talks, I hoped that the choice would fall on my person,” said Robert Ibertsberger at his presentation on Tuesday morning in Ried. The 44-year-old from Seekirchen am Wallersee will start as a coach at SV Guntamatic Ried in early 2022. Ibertsberger, who last worked in St. Pölten, has signed a contract until the end of the 2023 season, with the option for a further year.

“Robert Ibertsberger is an absolute team player and has experience in dealing with both talented young players and leading players. We are convinced that he will continue to work successfully together with the existing coaching team,” said Thomas Reifeltshammer, SVR’s sporting director -Professionals.

“Ibertsberger fits in personally and athletically with our club. He is one who fits into the Innviertel”, said SV-Ried managing director Rainer Wöllinger.

Training starts on January 3rd, the preparation and responsibility for the last home game in 2021 next Saturday (5 p.m.) against Altach will still lie with interim coach Christian Heinle and his team.
