After the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that shook Japan in new year, Pokemonthe best-selling franchise in the world, decided donate 50 million yen to him (equivalent to $345,697.80) to those affected by the disaster in the country.

“We would like to express our deepest condolences to those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024,” he wrote.
“The Pokémon Company has decided donate 50 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross and donations to support organizations to assist those affected by the disaster and help restore affected areas.
“Additionally, Through the Pokémon Contigo Foundation, we will continue carrying out activities to help affected children through the disaster to recover the smile. “We sincerely pray for the speedy recovery and reconstruction of the disaster-affected areas.”
