The Muelle 3 restaurant in Punta del Este this week presented Caio, the first robot waiter with artificial intelligence that serves tables in a gastronomic establishment in South America.
Caio was acquired by US$20,000 and programmed especially for typical tasks of a waiter: Greets diners at the entrance of the restaurant, carries the dishes ordered by customers from the kitchen to the tables, lifts the already used dishes and moves them back to the kitchen.
