In the municipality of St. Aegidi (Schärding district), a 20-year-old Mühlviertel woman left Sauwaldstraße with her car on Tuesday afternoon. Her car overturned and hit several trees before coming to a stop lying on the roof. The young woman was able to call the rescue, but not free herself from the wreck. Rescue workers from the St. Aegidi, Hackendorf and St. Roman volunteer fire brigades came to her aid. The rescue brought the injured person to the Schärding hospital.
A good one and a half hours later there was another accident in the municipality of Andrichsfurt (Ried im Innkreis district): A 33-year-old car driver was likely to have overlooked an oncoming car when turning left from Unterinnviertler Straße onto the Pötting freight route. The two vehicles collided head-on. The 33-year-old and her 27-year-old opponent in the accident were injured. The rescue brought the two women to the hospital in Ried, the police said in the evening.
