There are plenty of opportunities to get active in Upper Austria with 220 ski sports clubs.
The enthusiasm for sport is awakened in childhood, said Friedrich Scherrer, specialist inspector for exercise and sport at the Upper Austrian Education Directorate. For this reason, the state of Upper Austria and the cable car companies are increasingly supporting winter school sports weeks for children.
