Seven middle-aged rabbits found themselves in a predicament. Her owner, a long-time supporter of the animal paradise, had been taken to the emergency room due to a serious illness.
In this situation, she was no longer able to care for her beloved pets and entrusted them to the expert hands of the Animal Paradise staff. Olga, a charming member of the group of seven rabbits, and her six fellow rabbits have now found a new, loving home in the Schabenreith animal paradise. They enjoy good health and are grateful for the care and love they receive in their new surroundings.
Rabbits belong to the hare family and are not rodents, although they are often incorrectly referred to as such. Wild rabbits were originally only found in North Africa, southern France and the Iberian Peninsula. Today, thanks to human dispersal, the animals live throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, North and South America and on numerous Pacific and Caribbean islands. Although rabbits and hares share the same family in zoology, they are completely different species and cannot reproduce with each other. Although they are often referred to as hares, all breeds of domestic rabbits are descended from wild rabbits.
