The Graz public prosecutor’s office has filed a criminal complaint against her. The investigation against another operator was discontinued. The operators of two other stables are still being investigated, spokesman Christian Kroschl confirmed a report on Friday.
The video, which was published by VGT in March 2023, shows disturbing scenes from the fattening operation that happened in October and November 2022. At that time, the VGT criticized the rough treatment of the animals and identified a scandalous disregard for hygiene. You could see, among other things, how a tractor driver partially ran over animals in the stable, but they were apparently not relieved of their pain afterwards. The public prosecutor’s office also brought this up at the time. The operators will have to answer in court in March.
