The lifeless person was discovered by a walker on Sunday morning, the Lower Austria State Police Directorate confirmed upon request. No signs of foul play were found.
According to the investigations by the Ober-Grafendorf police station, the 51-year-old local is said to have made his way home on foot on Sunday night. The man was found around 8:45 a.m. in a field in Rennersdorf, a cadastral community in Ober-Grafendorf.
The walker passing by notified the emergency services, but the emergency doctor could only determine that the 51-year-old was dead. “Heute” and ORF Niederösterreich also reported on the incident on Sunday.
