At the start of the 44th edition of the Neuhofner Cross Country Running Cup, the successful runners from the LAC Amateure Steyr among 135 starters were unable to repeat their past successes. With only ten runners competing, there were only successes in the higher senior classes W60 and M70 by Agnes Kreundl and Ernst Hiesmayr. In the team rankings, the Steyrians are currently in fifth place with 125 points.
With 145 points, the twelve-member team from the LAC National Park Molln ranks two places ahead. At the start of the club’s 30th year, new signing Christoph Stadler delivered the top result with second place in the general class and fifth place overall in the long distance. Class victories were achieved by Sepp Schwarzer (M80) and Andrea Gruber (W40 short).
LG Kirchdorf also made it into the top 10 of the overall ranking in ninth place with 57 points. The top runner was Alexander Weiss, who came second in the M40 long. There was also a place on the podium for Jan Gaberc from Tri Run Kaiser. He came third in the short distance.
