Around 250 spectators watched the premiere performances of the Naarn children’s stage in the parish hall at the weekend and cheered them with minutes of applause. After the performances, the young actors spent several minutes fulfilling the numerous requests for autographs that they were bombarded with.
“It was a very successful premiere weekend with an enthusiastic audience,” says director Werner Luegmayr about what is expected to be the last production he will direct: “The effort that the entire team has put in over the past few weeks has once again been worth it. There are always children involved and not professionals. That’s why I have great respect for everyone involved for their performance and commitment.”
The audience followed the adventures of the little witch, embodied by Mona Masilko, who illegally flies up to the Blocksberg for the big witch dance. There she is caught by the head witch (Leona Diesreiter) and as punishment she has to learn to become a good witch. A difficult undertaking, but the little witch can count on the help of her loyal companion, the raven Abraxas (Kilian Simon).
The young troupe’s next performances are on Saturday, January 20th and Sunday, January 21st, at 3 p.m. in the Perg parish hall. The production then starts a short tour with performances in the Saxen parish hall (February 4th, 3 p.m.) and in the Valentinum in St. Valentin (March 3, 3 p.m.). If you would like to invite the children’s stage for a guest performance in your community, please contact Werner Luegmayr (0699 / 110 214 11).
