The night when the whole of Steyr celebrated with the fire department

For Steyr people who love to dance, this night is a must and the highlight of the season: the ball of the Steyr Volunteer Fire Department. For the 76th time, the comrades invited people to the lively start of the year, for the eleventh time in the Stadthalle am Tabor, once again perfectly staged and garnished with breathtaking performances by the organizer duo Andreas Auer and Markus Schaumberger.

“Without our 100 helpers who actively helped with the preparations, set-up and dismantling as well as during the ball, this success would never be possible,” emphasize the organizers and their commitment Gerhard Praxmarer can rightly be proud.

In any case, the Steyr fire brigade transformed the well-attended town hall into a perfect ballroom with a large dance floor, Seidlbar, cocktail lounge, Weinstadl and a disco in the basement garage. As in the previous year, the Post Big Band Salzburg provided the dancers with first-class and highly upbeat sounds. Also led for the second time Veronika Riedl as a moderator throughout the evening.

An acclaimed premiere began shortly before midnight: for the first time, a two-part show was offered at the fire brigade ball. The reigning world champions of rock ‘n’ roll acrobatics, Anna Storm and Matthias Feichtingerbrought the hall to a boil, as did the show acrobatics group Rocking Gravity from the Sankt Valentin gymnastics club.

This time Floriani, who had traveled the furthest, was the Freistadt commander Martin Hochreiter.
