The alliance launched a successful trial operation last year. From 2024 onwards, green electricity will be delivered to members in full operation, according to the cooperative’s promise. Information evenings have recently been held under the motto “Regional Energy from US for US”. After an opening event on Friday in Edt near Lambach, the next meeting is planned for Tuesday, January 16th, in the Steinerkirchen community hall (6:30 p.m.). Eight dates are scheduled until the end of February.
“We want to promote sustainable electricity generation in Wels-Süd and strengthen the regional economy,” says chairman Gerhard Baumgartner. The members include companies, farmers, private individuals and municipalities. There is still capacity available for 2024, and those who make quick decisions can benefit from the advantages of an energy community in the short term.
