There was a serious accident on a training trip in the municipality of Esternberg (Schärding district) on Tuesday afternoon: a 47-year-old car driver tried to overtake a driving school car around 5 p.m. near the town of Reisdorf. According to the 47-year-old, the 15-year-old behind the wheel of the car must have signaled to the right, but then turned left.
Accident left three injured
The two vehicles collided in the intersection area. The 42-year-old driving instructor sustained serious injuries. He had to be taken to the clinic in Passau for further treatment. The learner driver and the 47-year-old survived the collision with minor injuries. After receiving initial care, they were taken to Schärding Hospital, the police said on Tuesday evening.
