The Lower Austria State Police Department announced that investigations had been initiated on suspicion of animal cruelty. The dogs were taken to the Vösendorf animal shelter. According to veterinarians, these are unchipped mixed-breed puppies about six weeks old.

A passerby found the dogs on the B12 (Brunnerfeldstrasse) in the morning and filed a report. Any suspicious observations will be received by the Perchtoldsdorf police station (tel.: 059133-3342).
