Following the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, a number of documents were signed. On Wednesday, December 8, the Kremlin press service reported.
In particular, a plan of joint actions for 2022-2024 and a protocol on amendments to the intergovernmental agreement on the prevention of incidents at sea outside the territorial waters of 1991 were adopted.
In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed on cooperation in the development and operation of laser infrastructure between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Development and Investment of the Hellenic Republic.
Also among the signed documents is a memorandum of understanding on technical cooperation in the field of tax administration between the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation and the Independent Agency of State Revenue of Greece.
The fifth document was a program of joint actions between Rostourism and the Greek Ministry of Tourism for the period 2022-2024 in the tourism area.
The meeting between the Russian leader and the Greek prime minister took place earlier on Wednesday at the Bocharov Ruchey residence in Sochi. Following the talks, Putin expressed gratitude to the Greek authorities for recognizing the certificates of vaccination against coronavirus with the Russian drug Sputnik V.
Mitsotakis, in turn, stressed that Greece remembers the role of Russia in the Greek revolution. He also pointed out that Russia is part of the security architecture of Europe, therefore, many countries are interested in its participation in the dialogue.
As Putin noted, the Russian-Greek talks were meaningful and fruitful. The parties discussed the most pressing issues of current cooperation.
