Good advice and an office dog – two very different things that have one thing in common: making the everyday life of working parents easier. That’s the goal “Felix family”an award from OÖN and the state of Upper Austria that brings projects like this to the fore.
Numerous companies have already applied, such as Raiffeisenlandesbank with one “Advice hotline”. “Since the topic of care is becoming more and more important, it was important to us to offer our employees an opportunity to get advice on their concerns about caring for relatives”Sandra Lehner describes the project in the application. “Therefore, in collaboration with the relief organization, we have installed an advice hotline where employees of the group can get support in these matters confidentially, free of charge and during their working hours.”
Everything in the Felix Familia application from Ing. Steininger Building and Energy Technology in Pregarten revolves around office dog Hermann. “He is much more than just a pet, he is a central part of our team and helps create a positive work environment”explains Sophie Steininger. “Employees can take Hermann home with them, but children can also come here to meet Hermann and learn a lot about their parents’ work.” There are also, among other things, flexible working hours for employees and company celebrations where family members are also welcome.
