Around nine o’clock, three vehicles, including an Audi and a Mercedes, collided between the Regau motorway entrance and a gas station. The background to the accident was still under investigation on Wednesday. No details were yet known about the number of injured. The collision was so violent that two vehicles were thrown into the adjacent meadow, and one car came to a stop on the road with serious damage.

“Fortunately, all people involved were able to get out of the vehicles independently,” said the emergency services. The Rutzenmoos fire department responded to the clean-up work. Traffic was alternately diverted past the scene of the accident. Since the vehicle involved in the accident was an electric car, it was important to keep an eye on the temperature of the battery throughout the entire operation.

In addition to five vehicles from the Rutzenmoos FF, two ambulances and an emergency doctor from the Red Cross as well as two police patrols were on duty. After a good two hours, traffic was reopened in both directions.
