Pichling receives a village shop box

Regional food around the clock will soon be available in the Pichling district of Linz. In the new village shop box, which will open next to the parish of St. Paul on December 18th.

After Wels-Land and Grieskirchen – there are already five locations there – there is now such an automated self-service shop in the state capital. The first location in Germany will also be opened in December.

In the village shop boxes, different products are offered by local direct marketers and small-scale businesses; the range varies depending on the geographical location. The idea behind it: Customers can do their weekly shopping centrally and do not have to visit several farm shops. “With the village shop box, we enable customers to shop with products from farmers in the immediate vicinity,” says Patrick Schoyswohl, co-founder of the concept, who, as a native of Linz, is particularly pleased that there is now such an offer in his hometown.

Access to the self-service shop is possible around the clock using the Dorfladenbox app. The current stock level can be viewed in the app (which is also used to process payment) before a visit. In this way, according to the tenor of the company, “a shopping experience tailored to today’s needs” can be created. More information at dorfladenbox.com
