The cultural platform KUPF Upper Austria has launched kulturspenden.at, an innovative online donation platform for the cultural scene. Since January 1, 2024, all non-profit institutions can be included in the list of organizations receiving donations.
“From 2024, all non-profit organizations will be able to apply for donations to be deducted; the previous hurdles have been abolished. With the launch of kulturspenden.at, we would like to support cultural organizations in Austria in collecting donations and crowdfunding campaigns via the Internet and thus strengthen the cultural scene,” says Thomas Diesenreiter, Managing Director of KUPF Upper Austria. The platform enables easy acceptance of donations via the Internet, donation receipts for donors, support with tax office reporting, low fees compared to commercial providers, clear payouts and accounting, increased visibility of the organizations and easy finding of requests for donations using the search function. From June, the platform will also enable project-based donations so that simple crowdfunding campaigns can be implemented. There are also plans to enable recurring donations in the future.
