Samsung presents the new Galaxy S24

Samsung presents the latest models of its smartphone flagship. The Galaxy S24 will be available in Austria from January 31st. You can find the prices at the end of the article. You can see the presentation on the Samsung website on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Some of the new features at a glance:

• Optics: The transition between the front and back has been made more seamless, making the screen edges a little thinner. The display brightness has been increased to 2600 nits and the premium model Galaxy S24 Ultra gets a titanium frame.
• Camera: Samsung has placed great emphasis on improving night photography with the camera. Also new is a fivefold optical telephoto zoom. Thanks to artificial intelligence, reflections can be automatically removed from images.
• Speaking of artificial intelligence: Under the name Galaxy AI, Samsung is also following the current trend and putting more AI into its smartphones. For example, calls and chat messages can be translated in real time.
• “Just Circle it”: Together with Google, Samsung is bringing a new dimension to internet searches on smartphones. With the new Google function “Circle to Search” it is possible to circle content that is currently displayed on the smartphone with your finger. The search engine then immediately starts looking for the circled object. The new function will be available from January 31st – initially exclusively – on the new Samsung smartphones and the devices from Google’s Pixel 8 series.
• Updates: Users receive Android security updates for seven years.
