After going to press, UVC McDonald’s Ried’s Bundesliga away game against second-placed TSV Hartberg took place yesterday evening. Last Saturday, the Rieders narrowly avoided defeat at VBC Weiz. The Innviertel team fended off three match points when the score was 11:14 in the fifth and decisive round. Ultimately, UVC Ried was able to celebrate a 3-2 win.
UVC Ried is currently in sixth place in the table and is therefore slightly behind its own expectations before the season. Next Saturday, January 20th, the Rieders want to start a successful run in front of the home fans in the Raiffeisen Volleydome. The opponent is VBK Klagenfurt, the game starts at 6 p.m. “I hope that all players are fit for action. I expect a very varied game,” says UVC Ried chairman Roman Lutz.
