Every year on the second Sunday in December, the World Memorial Day for deceased children, “Worldwide Candle Lighting”, takes place. The pastoral care of the sick at the Wels / Grieskirchen Clinic and the self-help group miscarriage and silent birth Dandelion invite you to a joint memorial at the children’s memorial at the Wels cemetery on Sunday. Torches burn around the children’s memorial between 5 and 6.30 p.m. Pastors are on site and offer impulse texts and discussions. In view of the current Corona situation, no larger joint celebration can take place this year, which was held before Corona in the funeral hall at the cemetery.
In the parish church in Buchkirchen there will be a memorial service on Sunday at 7 p.m. for those affected of all denominations who have lost a child during pregnancy, after birth or later in childhood, adolescence or adulthood. Pictures or personal belongings of the children will be put up during the memorial service and candles will be lit.
