The United States Army launched new bombings this Thursday against positions of the Houthi rebels in Yemen, who warned that they will continue their attacks against maritime traffic in the Red Sea.
The military command in the Middle East (Centcom) said that they had executed “strikes on 14 Iranian-backed Houthi missiles that were loaded for launch” and “posed an imminent threat to merchant ships.”
This is the fourth round of bombing launched by the United States in Yemen in the last week.

Media that support the Houthis, such as Al Masirah television or the Saba.net press agency, said that the attacks affected different areas of the country, including the port of Hodeida and the city of Taez.
These media also attribute the attack to the United Kingdom, although the US Army did not make any mention of it, the AFP news agency reported.
US and UK offensive against the Houthis
Last Friday, the United States and the United Kingdom launched a first round of bombings against Houthi positions in Yemen in response to the attacks by this rebel group against ships in the Red Sea.
Backed by Iran, the Houthis claim to only act against Israeli ships or ships linked to this country in “solidarity” with the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip in the context of the war between Israel and Hamas.
A Houthi military official told the Al Masirah network that they will continue “attacking Israeli ships heading to the ports of occupied Palestine, no matter what the American and British aggressors try to prevent it.”
In addition to bombing their positions, the United States again included the Houthis on its list of “terrorist” groups.
