15-year-old seriously injured in tobogganing accident in Tyrol

According to the police, the 15-year-old, who was riding with a classmate (14), lost control of the toboggan. While her classmate fell off the toboggan, the 15-year-old first rode unbraked through a banner with the inscription “Slow” before crashing into a lift hut.

According to police, an accident witness and the teacher immediately provided first aid. After initial treatment, the girl was flown to the Innsbruck clinic in an emergency helicopter. Her 14-year-old classmate was uninjured.

The school class set off on a tobogganing trip together in the morning. First they took the toboggan run to the parking lot at the valley station. From there they continued the descent over the blue marked ski slope.
