At the beginning of the year, Esther Reichl replaced Karin Eidenberger as director of the Vöcklabruck State Music School. The 41-year-old from Gmunden studied oboe and recorder at the Anton Bruckner Private University and then completed master classes with well-known musicians. Concert tours have taken her to Germany, France, the Czech Republic, South Africa, China and India. She has been teaching at the Upper Austria State Music School since 2006.
Esther Reichl completed her second-chance law degree and also worked as a lawyer.
Vöcklabruck’s mayor Peter Schobesberger has already personally congratulated Reichl on her appointment as director. “I’m sure we will implement many joint projects – starting with this year’s Bruckner year,” he says.
