The police in Norfolk County said investigators were alerted on Friday morning and gained access to the house in the town of Costessey. The dead were a 45-year-old man, a 36-year-old woman and two little girls.
“We can confirm that all four were found with injuries,” Detective Chief Inspector Chris Burgess said. The man and two children lived at the address and the woman was visiting. According to the PA news agency, they are believed to be members of a family.
An autopsy was ordered
The background was initially unclear. The causes of death should be clarified by an autopsy. Burgess said he was aware of the shock and consternation the case caused. “I am aware that there is a lot of public interest in the investigation and speculation on social media about who is involved.” The police appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
