After three rounds on the normal hill, the ÖSV duo was 25.2 points behind the victorious Nika Kriznar and Nika Prevc. Canada with Abigail Strate and Alexandria Loutitt had a 12.7 point lead over the Austrians. Hosts Japan came in fourth, well behind Austria.
“A podium is always great. It wasn’t my best jumps, but we can be happy with a podium place,” said Seifriedsberger on her 33rd birthday. An individual competition follows on Sunday at the Japanese venue; in the first one on Friday, the Austrians missed the podium places.
