Uruguay now has a new platform aimed at improving efficiency and security in the online ticket resale process, Bein, within a legal and less expensive framework. This is the first initiative of its kind in Latin America.
The launch of Bein It is a novelty for the country, since it will allow us to address a problem that is persistent in the field of all types of shows: the ticket resale. Based on the fact that 30% of those purchased Web way are resold in secondary markets, the platform seeks to create a safe and legal environment for this practice that actually occurs.
The idea is that users can buy and sell tickets safely through the platform. Likewise, the buyer has the chance to generate points for each ticket purchase, which can then be used to obtain future discounts at events.
“Bein arose from the need of event producers to have a better and cheaper online management solution, and from the need of users to be able to have a comprehensive solution for their events and not continue in the gray area of reselling tickets,” he explained. Facundo Rodríguez, founder of the company.
How does the platform work?
According to Rodríguez, “the resale without authorization It is illegal, the organizer is left out since he does not participate or commission in that transaction and generates many cases of fraud. This reselling function that Bein has is the first in Latin America and allows users to resell tickets safely, because when resold, the system cancels the previous ticket and generates a new one for the new buyer.”
At the same time, he said that the initiative gives the producer the possibility that, if you sell your tickets on the platform, you can establish the resale conditions and commission for all resales that are made, increasing the benefits and empowering management.
For events that are sold outside the platform, Bein asks you authorization to the organizers so that their tickets can be published, and the organizer charges for each ticket resold, being extremely useful in sold-out events.
According to the head of this new company, the new online ticket holder reduces the cost to sell tickets by 40%, compared to its competitors, offering the sale of tickets for only 8.9% commission and at no cost in some cases, so Bein is “paving the way towards a more profitable event management”.
