Meeting with Argentina
The leader of the portfolio also met with the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Fernando Vilella, and discussed the status of the bilateral agenda and the opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the Southern Agricultural Council (CAS).
In this framework, Vilella highlighted “the importance of working on a joint vision in relation to adaptation to the climate change, promote the sustainability of our productive systems and in the defense of a multilateral trading system based on scientific principles, to be able to respond to the world food security“.
In this sense, Vilella and Mattos agreed to evaluate within the framework of the CAS the development of joint lines of research to obtain emission factors specific to the region.
