The alleged victim, a 33-year-old woman from Linz, was unable to express suspicion or provide a personal description of the perpetrator when questioned by the police. The 33-year-old had cuts in her stomach area and thigh, which were stitched up at the Kepler University Hospital.

One suspect was released after consultation with the public prosecutor. The 35-year-old from Linz had a complete alibi for the time of the crime. The victim had reported him several times in the past few weeks. No murder weapon could be found at the crime scene.
