A 53-year-old holidaymaker from Germany collided with a 47-year-old from Carinthia on the Gerlitzen and was flown to the Villach Regional Hospital with serious injuries. At Nassfeld, a 77-year-old skier from Hermagor had to be taken to the valley by Akja after a collision with a 16-year-old Pole and flown to the LKH Hermagor. The teenager was uninjured.
Ski tourer fell at 2,000 meters above sea level
Furthermore, according to a report from the Carinthia State Police Directorate, a 19-year-old ski tourer from the Villach-Land district was in distress. He went on a tour to the Millstätter Alpe with his 34-year-old companion. At around 2,000 meters above sea level he fell and injured himself so badly that he could no longer drive down to the valley. He was flown by the Alpin 1 rescue helicopter to Spittal an der Drau hospital with unspecified injuries.
