The man was working at a company in the Gmunden district. At around 10 a.m. he moved an approximately 12 meter long steel beam with an indoor crane. Since the steel beam was only attached with a chain and swayed slightly, the man tried to stabilize it with his hand. He crushed his hand between the steel beam and a worktop.
The 61-year-old was able to free himself and call for help. The Hungarian was seriously injured and taken to the Salzkammergut Clinic in Gmunden.
