The president of Frente Amplio (FA) Fernando Pereirastated that the left coalition “is preparing” to win in the first round and recover the government of Uruguay in the October elections after five years of management of the Multicolor Coalition.

“We are preparing, we are putting together our organization so that with less resources that the parties that are governing today, but with a very important organizational capacity, manage to win the election in the month of October,” said Pereira in a press conference held on Monday night, after the meeting of the leadership of the FA.
In that sense, he announced that in February the program “I join for Uruguay”, who will seek to tour the different neighborhoods of the country to present the party’s government proposal.
“It means finding people who are going to use different mechanisms to go visit neighbors, family, friends, to be at a fair, to visit every corner of the country and if we manage to do that, surely the Wide Front “He has enormous chances of winning the national election,” Pereira explained in an interview with Telemundo.
According to the president of the left coalition, the polls “do very well for the Broad Front”, with numbers ranging between 44% and 46% for the first round. However, he clarified that they are “aware” that they will win the elections “if the organizational structure and ideas of the Broad Front, That is, their programmatic proposal manages to move Uruguayans.”
