The intensive preparations for the new indoor season have paid off for the PSV Wels athletes; according to coach and section leader Hans Ryzy, the start was very successful.
The girls in particular impressed at the state championships for the U18 and U20 age groups in the TipsArena in Linz last weekend. 16-year-old Olivia Benesch secured three titles in the U18 class. The Wels talent triumphed in the long jump (5.51 meters), shot put (12.79 meters) and the 60-meter hurdles (9.14 seconds).
Training colleague Corinna Marica won two titles at the start of the indoor season. The 17-year-old won both the three jump (11.24 meters) and the long jump in the U20 class. “The girls are very committed and showed strong performances,” says PSV coach Ryzy.
