In addition to the athletes, the heating specialist Hargassner from Weng also delivered a strong performance. With two pellet heaters, the Innviertel company was responsible for supplying heat to the International Biathlon Union’s 3,500 square meter event tent. The tent was designed for more than 1000 spectators and helpers and also for the kitchen.
For the first time this year, Chiemgau Arena GmbH switched the heating for the event from oil warm air modules to sustainable biomass. The CO2 footprint was reduced by more than 210 tons. This should continue to be the case for the coming years. The Hargassner premium partner, Martin Praxenthaler GmbH from Traunstein, is responsible for this with its “Hot Cube” – English for “hot cube”.
