The company Triple Impact appeared in the controversy over the sale of land in Ballena Point, Maldonado –where the neighbors and even the mayor oppose its commercialization–, as a kind of solution from the private sector to preserve the A natural space where 37 residential towers are intended to be built.

—What is Triple Impact about?

We are responsible for preserving or conserving lands in perpetuity. That is, we specifically choose land that are exploited or about to explode. In this way, we carry out an analysis with our professionals and technicians of the entire biodiversity – which we understand may be at risk – and we began to develop a plan, through decentralization, to be able to acquire it and then preserve it.

Within Triple Impact We have two models. The first, called B2C, who are end users who buy a kind of “access key” to the project where they can access all the content that happens during the conservation process through photos, high definition videos, in-person and virtual visits, games and experiences in addition to the certificate that they were part of the conservation of a natural space.

—What is the economic model like and what is the benefit that investors have?

—How are you going to access the purchase of Punta Ballena?

For the specific case of Ballena Point, we are not going to apply the model B2B, which is the impact packs, for an issue that at the biodiversity level is not immense Punta Ballena. In that sense, the money of the digital plots, of decentralization, will be used purely and exclusively for the purchase of the territory. And then, SNAP is going to take care of it.

That is, there are 19 hectares that are going to be divided into plots in square meter bringing together a total of 19,000 plots that will be sold to meet the objective of collecting the value of money, buying it and then selling it.

—What is the acceptance of the neighbors regarding this project?

We did a survey where we surveyed more than 300 people and there is a complete interest for contributing money.
