The trigger was an overtaking maneuver by a currently unknown driver on Thursday shortly after 5 p.m. on the B 122 in Rohr im Kremstal (Steyr-Land district): On the way from Rohr towards Kremsmünster, the driver overtook a truck and was only just able to get ahead of oncoming traffic Get back in your lane and in front of the truck.
However, the driving maneuver set off a chain reaction: the oncoming traffic – a 60-year-old from the Linz-Land district – had to brake his car abruptly. The 26-year-old driving behind him hit his vehicle. Her car took off and landed on an oncoming vehicle in which a 39-year-old from the Linz-Land district was driving. Then the 26-year-old’s car was catapulted into the air again and landed in a field after about 20 meters.
Fortunately, the woman was only slightly injured. The rescue took her to the Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen Clinic in Steyr.
