In 2013 the “Innviertel beer region” – an association of ten breweries, innkeepers, tourism and regional businesses – decided to “Beer March” to revive. This year, for the twelfth time, we are inviting you to numerous beer-related events. The official opening takes place with “Beer March Gala” on Friday, March 1st. A four-course menu is served at the Loryhof in Wippenham, accompanied, of course, by beers from the Innviertel beer region.
The “Beer March” is one of the region’s major tourist flagships, emphasized Gerald Hartl, managing director of the tourism association “s’Innviertel”yesterday at a press conference. “Beer is a reason, especially for groups, to come to the Innviertel”says Hartl. The traditional drink – and not only popular in the Innviertel – should also be an attraction for the many other culinary events of the Beer March.
A highlight will take place on Monday, March 11th, in the Fill Future Zone in Gurten. At the charity dinner party, seven award-winning chefs from Innviertel are cooking.
The net proceeds from the event, which is already sold out, will go to the Innviertel Child Protection Center. The celebration will take place a few days later on Saturday, March 16th, on the one hand in the Woigartlbräu in Schalchen, where the five-year anniversary will be celebrated with a beer tapping and music from the 60s and 70s, and on the other hand that is also the day Weberbräu in Ried for a three-course menu, including a fine selection of beer region beers.
