Fischer Sports is recalling youth ski boot models

The RC4 50 JR ski boot

The reason is the threat of falling and injury, the AGES (Agency for Health and Food Safety) reported on Friday. In order to rule out a safety risk, Fischer is recalling all previously delivered RC4 Junior 50, 60 and 65 models in sizes from size 21.5 from the market in order to carry out a product update.

During quality assurance and service activities, it was determined that there may be movement between the shell and cuff in models delivered from October 2022. The cuff can rotate backwards and overcome the actual holding mechanism, the manufacturer said. Sizes 19.5 and 20.5 are not affected.

“Contact the dealer immediately”

“All end users of the affected youth ski boot models RC4 50, 60 and 65 in the affected sizes should immediately contact their respective dealer for the purpose of repairing the youth ski boots,” the company said.

Customers can obtain information via servicecenter@fischersports.com and at www.fischersports.com.
