A routine traffic stop turned out to be fatal for a 31-year-old from Innviertel on Friday morning: The young man had gotten behind the wheel of his car under the influence of drugs when he was stopped by the police in the municipality of Mattighofen (Braunau am Inn district).
Cocaine and cannabis
Officers noticed symptoms that suggested drug-related impairment. A voluntary urine test was positive for cocaine and THC. The 31-year-old refused to be examined by the medical officer.
