It is therefore advisable to keep a close eye on what the central banks are doing or announcing. The big investors are following this too.
- What are politicians doing? In addition to the central banks, politicians and the various trouble spots around the world also influence stock market events. This is generally true, but the geopolitical upheavals are particularly great at the moment. This ranges from the Ukraine war to the Gaza war and the attacks by the Houthi rebels on merchant ships in the Red Sea to the simmering conflict between China and Taiwan and the USA.
