“The fools” had to wait for five years. Today it was finally that time again: The big carnival parade of the rural youth of the Ried district and the city marketing attracted thousands of visitors to Ried city center in the afternoon in sunny weather. Hours before the entourage set off from the exhibition grounds towards the city center, numerous visitors gathered in the city center to prepare themselves for the arrival of the participating cars at the numerous refreshment stations. The highlight of the day was the presentation of the 36 cars, including some from neighboring Bavaria, at Rieder Hauptplatz.

Imaginative costumes
The participating groups were very imaginative when choosing topics. Topics included cowboys and Indians, nuns and monks, Super Mario, Cleopatra and Bob the Builder. After the presentation of the floats on the main square, the participants headed back to the exhibition grounds, where the awards for the floats and an after-show party took place in the FIH auction hall. There was also a celebration in Ried city center after the carnival parade until the celebrated extensively late in the evening.
