The Sport Kaiser Ennstalcup powered by Salomon entered the second round with a double event. 91 starters were nominated for the two giant slalom runs in Draxlerloch on Hochkar, and they were rewarded with great weather. Under the best conditions, there were hardly any failures.
In the women’s race, Marlies Kaiser from Naturfreunde Großraming came back impressively with two victories after her loss in Hinterstoder. The Ennstaler was around three tenths of a second ahead of her opponent Denise Dietl from the Trattenbach winter sports club in both runs. The strongest challenger was Liana Garstenauer from the Pechgraben sports club, who was third fastest of the day.

In the men’s race, the organizers, Sportverein Losenstein, also had a double victory: Gregor Sulzer set the fastest time in both giant slalom races. After he ended his international career, he sporadically competed in the Ennstalcup. He last celebrated a victory in March 2022. Melvin Garstenauer from the Pechgraben sports club and Daniel Lumplecker from the Trattenbach winter sports club dueled behind Sulzer with full commitment and took turns in second and third place.
