That was a huge blessing in disguise: Shortly after 5 p.m., the 27-year-old from the Ried district was driving her car on the L510, the Weilbacher Landesstraße, when she left the road and crashed into a tree that had fallen down due to the snow and the storm – in the process Part of the tree drilled through the car: “It’s in the front of the windshield and out of the passenger side,” says Helmut Gruber, honorary commander of the Aurolzmünster fire department, which supported the FF Weilbach with the work, in an interview with nachrichten.at.
The car was literally impaled. “If someone had been sitting on the passenger side, he would be dead,” said the honorary commander. But the young woman was lucky – she escaped without being frightened.
